about

Harley D continues to put out incredibly well produced jungle drum & bass and his latest EP via Serial Killaz is certainly true to form. The ‘Colours’ EP follows up the successful ‘Battle Dubz’ release from earlier in the year and continues the trend in terms of quality output.

‘Colours’ is as radio friendly as it is a dance floor ripper. Full of fun, bubbling beats and memorable lyrics which make this a fine choice to add to anyone's playlist or DJ set. ‘Blessed Vibrations’ rips basslines straight from the mid 90’s where experimental bending and reversing was the norm and if you didn't have a hardware synth, you were probably just tinkering on your PS2. Thankfully Harley D is producing for us in 2022 where everything is covered at the touch of a few mouse clicks if you know what you’re doing!

Notching up the heat with ‘More Fire’ which is a spicy little number, fueling the lighting technicians' dream of laying the venue in CO2 and one shot flamethrowers. To be fair, this one will have your trainers sparking from the floor in no time. ‘Infiltrate’ features a hefty pitch bent intro, full of sweet risers and FX that build into Harley D’s distinctive no nonsense jump up sound. It’s weighty so if you’re playing this on a big system, watch the bloody ceiling as it’s probably going to come down on you with a rewind or two. Ended the EP stuck deep in the forbidden forest with ‘Go’. A track so mystical through a pair of headphones you will want to stay well away from any type of mushrooms before playing. One for the die hard crew.
